About Lacada Brewery
We began as a small group of friends on the beautiful north coast of Northern Ireland who love a great beer and have a strong sense of community. Thus we decided to start a micro-brewery as a co-operative in 2014.
We opened a share offer and attracted enough co-owners and funding to kick off. It's been quite a journey and we are always buoyed by our co-owners and supporters. It also helps that we brew great beers. Early on our Devil's Washtub dark ale was judged Best New Product in Ireland and Utopian Stout received three gold stars from Great Taste Awards.
A recent re-investment from co-owners saw us upgrade fermentation vessels and we also moved to canning. Thus our range extended styles to include lagers and we were also able to nail neipa's to the quality mast those beers demand!
Sustainability
We use proceeds from an annual 'Community' beer to plant fruit trees accessible to the public.
