About Beak Brewery

Conceived as a ‘nomadic’ project, The Beak spent several years creating unfiltered, seasonally-inspired beer with friends at some the UK’s greatest breweries, including North Brew Co, Burning Sky and Northern Monk. It has since laid roots in the historic brewing town of Lewes in East Sussex, where it runs a 15-BBL neighbourhood brewery and street-food canteen (one of England’s best Al Fresco eating spots, according to The Sunday Times).

Since launching a year ago, it has risen to become one of the highest rated breweries in the UK and is particularly well-known for its super juicy and fluffy pale ales, including its flagship beer Parade, which was voted IPA of the year. More recently, it has established a mixed-fermentation project showcasing ingredients grown in the surrounding South Downs National Park. The project includes a 5,000 litre oak foudre and a field of mixed heritage grain located just a few miles down the road.
