Why You Need to Know About Little Pomona

When you think of cider, what comes to mind? Pint of fizzy stuff over ice in a pub garden? Maybe something fruity from the supermarket fridge?

Now forget all that.

Let me introduce you to Little Pomona – the cidery that’s quietly flipping the script on what cider can be. No gimmicks. No sugar bombs. Just world-class cider made with proper craft, care and conviction.

How it Started

James and Susanna Forbes kicked things off back in 2015 after spending years in the wine world. They weren’t cider people originally, but they got it – the land, the fruit, the fermentation – and they brought a fresh mindset with them.

They set up shop on a farm in Herefordshire (aka cider country) and started pressing heritage apples using wild fermentation, oak ageing, and zero shortcuts.

It’s cider made like natural wine, and honestly? It’s some of the best stuff being made in the UK right now.

A Few Favourites:

Table Cider – Easy drinking, dry and refreshing. It’s the one you crack open without thinking – and then don’t stop thinking about.

Hard Rain – A wild-fermented perry that feels like it came from another planet (in the best way).

Thick Cut – Juicy and tannic with a bold, structured finish. Think orange wine, but made from apples. Incredilbe!

Why They’re on Brewser

At Brewser, we’ve always backed the underdogs, the makers who give a damn. Little Pomona fits that mould perfectly.

They’re not mass market. They’re not flashy. But they are changing how people think about cider – and we reckon that’s worth shouting about.

So if you’re looking for something new, something genuine, something that makes you rethink your perception about cider this is it.

Go on. Add Little Pomona to your plan. You won’t regret it.
