About Atom Brewing Co
Founded in 2014 by Allan and Sarah. Scientists by training with a passion for beer. After working all over the world in science and brewing. It was during this period that we began to think what the ethos would be of our ideal company. From that the Atom story began. Our ethos has not been just about making beer, our long-term goal is to create an educational environment to inspire students across all age groups and build a community.
We wanted the name Atom to represent, science, education, transparency and simplicity.
Sustainability
We are constantly striving to reduce our carbon footprint and move to more sustainable practices and materials. A company sustainability statement is currently in progress.
90% of our keg output is in reusable steel kegs, 10% are in recyclable plastic.
All of our small pack beer is packaged into recyclable aluminum cans.
All of our spent grain is used as animal feed by a local farmer.
All of our cardboard is taken and recycled by a local food bank, Fareshare. They then sell this on at profit that is fed back into the charity.
